Built and operated by the Stardust Hotel and Casino, this desert venue hosted the Can-Am Challenge for three years from 1966. The IndyCar Series visited in March 1968 but only 8,570 spectators were there to see Bobby Unser narrowly beat Mario Andretti. The hotel was sold in 1969 and the track closed, with a final event on the drag strip held in October 1971.
